The Player Course at The Woodlands Country Club

A Thrilling Testament to the Game

Designer: Gary Player

The Black Knight himself designed this 18-hole signature course in 2002, located in the village of Sterling Ridge. With its soft mounds and white bunkers strategically guarding the landing areas and greens, scoring low at the Player Course calls for chess-like shotmaking paired with mental focus. Use each club in your bag for a golf experience unlike any other. At the Player, you'll also find our state-of-the-art golf performance center and driving range, The Refinery, located right next to the clubhouse.

The course opens with a tee shot that must avoid the large fairway bunker on the left, which will set up a short-iron approach. Players who land in the greenside bunker on the right will be met with a challenging up-and-down to make par.
